Martin R. Shumway, PE, CPG

Martin (Marty) Shumway has over 20 years of experience in the mining and petroleum industries and has extensive experience with exploration and development of oil and gas properties in the Appalachian Basin. 

He has directed exploration programs including prospect development, design and acquisition of 2d and 3d seismic acquisition programs, 2d/3d seismic interpretation, and geological & geophysical services related to drilling, completion and production. 

Mr. Shumway also has experience with development of oil and gas fields including identifying infill and step out locations to optimize production, evaluation of producing formations, identification of pay behind pipe, class II and enhanced recovery injection wells, and production analysis to identify wells with workover and recompletion potential.

Mr. Shumway has prepared petroleum reserve reports for internal company use, for SEC reporting requirements, and for bank lending purposes. He also has experience with preparing fair market determinations of oil and gas properties and has completed analysis of various plays to evaluate the hydrocarbon potential and economic returns.

Mr. Shumway earned his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Engineering from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio and currently holds the following professional licenses/certifications or is a member of the following organizations:
